Our Impact
The KDF has achieved remarkable milestones, including the establishment of the annual KD Parent Symposium, the successful designation of January 26th as National KD Awareness Day by Congress, and supporting the creation of the KD Biorepository at the KD Research Center through a $100,000 donation from KDF.
These initiatives have fulfilled our mission to support families affected by the disease by providing ongoing education on KD and access to KD experts for questions. Our impactful social media campaigns have annually reached thousands of users, contributing to nationwide and worldwide awareness. Furthermore, our funding of the KD DNA bank has significantly advanced KD research, with the samples being utilized in various research endeavors.
While we will not rest until we know the cause and the long-term outcome of all kids who have contracted KD, we take pride in our accomplishments over the past years.
