Sara Millener

Sara Margaret Oliver Millener, 71, passed away into the arms of her Lord and Savior on the morning of June 27, 2020. Born August 25, 1948 at Ft. Sanders Hospital in Knoxville, TN, she was the daughter of the late Col. Hugh Russell Oliver and Margaret Thomas Oliver.

As a mother, she gave herself fully to her children taking every opportunity to inspire and equip them to make the most of their lives. She instilled complete confidence in her children and left no doubt in their minds as to her absolute love for them.    Sara Millener is the grandmother of Hugh Wayne Ham who was diagnosed with Kawasaki Disease in late 2015.   Hugh developed massive coronary aneurysms from late and misdiagnosis of the disease.  Hugh is now 5 years old and lives with his aneurysms by taking blood thinners and anticoagulant medications.    Sara’s daughter Tally and her son-in-law Matt serve on the board of directors at the Kawasaki Disease Foundation.

She is survived by her friend and sister, Martha Oliver Whittier; her three beloved children, Nancy Ann Lewis, Clay Alexander Millener, and Tally Margaret Ham; and six precious grandchildren, Robert Mills Lewis, Matthew Thomas Lewis, Alexander Terra Millener, Davi Terra Millener, Hugh Wayne Ham and Zellie Haley Ham.
